2022 Charities

There are a number of organizations that benefit from the generous fund raising efforts of our ladies. Each year, we select three main non-profit organizations as recipients of our main charity donations. In recent years, the three charity organizations have been Humane Society of Sumner County, Hendersonville Home Bound Meals, and Home Safe. Pictured below are the 2021 award presentations by President Linda Conti, of $2,500 each, to Glenda Stone, representing HSSC; Carmen Smith, representing Home Safe and Tommy Decker, representing Home Bound Meals.

Homebound Meals

Homebound Meals

The Hendersonville Home Bound Meals Program (HBMP) is an all-volunteer organization founded in 1982 to serve the elderly population of Hendersonville.

The Home Bound Meals Program (HBMP) currently delivers meals Monday through Friday, to qualified home bound persons in our community. For many of these home bound persons, the volunteer who delivers the meal may be the only contact outside the home. We are committed in our efforts to continue providing this service to the Hendersonville community.

The food served by HBMP is currently provided by a vendor that delivers it in bulk to a kitchen in the Community Church. Volunteers then package individual meals for distribution. Next, additional volunteers pick up and deliver the appropriate meal for each recipient.

HBMP must secure the funds to cover the cost of meals which are distributed among the recipients. Some recipients are able to make contributions in appreciation of HBMP; however, none are required to contribute. All who qualify are served regardless of economic status. The program is funded by donations from churches, clubs, businesses, individuals and local fund raisers, as well as grant money from the city of Hendersonville and the Memorial Foundation. Over 97% of all monies received by HBMP are used to provide the meals for the recipients.

Home Safe

Home Safe

HomeSafe provides free and confidential services to people impacted by domestic abuse in Sumner, Robertson, and Wilson Counties. We serve victims/survivors and their children, regardless of race, ethnicity, class, gender, age, sexual orientation, religion, country of origin, or immigration status. Our services are client-centered and trauma-informed. We believe that survivors are the experts in their own lives, and our advocates partner with each survivor in addressing risks, needs, and goals that are most important to that individual. We offer individualized support, information, and assistance so that each survivor can choose their own path toward safety, healing, and empowerment.

Sumner County Humane Society

Sumner County Humane Society

The Humane Society of Sumner County (HSSC) is a small, private, non-profit (501c3) service organization that promotes the humane treatment of abandoned, lost, and displaced animals. HSSC provides temporary shelter, necessary medical attention & mandatory vaccinations, and sterilization to our incoming animals. Our adoption staff joins loving, qualified, and responsible people with these animals and works diligently to re-unite incoming lost animals with their guardians. HSSC encourages the public to help control the over-pet population through spay and neuter awareness. HSSC has diligently served this community since 1974 and is solely supported by donations. The Humane Society of Sumner County is a private organization. We are not a government agency nor are we local animal control. To clarify, we are not affiliated with nor do we receive any funding from any national organization.

All proceeds go directly to Humane Society of Sumner County, Home Bound Meals and Home Safe.
